  4. UUNET Technologies announces the startup of commercial networking
  5. services in India.  UUNET India Limited is going to handle the setup
  6. in India.

  8. By the end of November 1992 UUNET India will offer email and news
  9. services to subscribers in the Indian cities of Bombay, Calcutta,
  10. Bangalore, New Delhi, Madras and Hyderabad.  TCP/IP (Alternet)
  11. services are expected to go online in the first quarter of 1993.
  12. UUNET India proposes to provide all services being offerred by UUNET
  13. Technologies Inc., in the U.S., to its subscribers in India which
  14. includes public domain software archives, USENET news, network
  15. consulting, etc.

  17. Also UUNET India Limited has a Software development division which
  18. is currently undertaking projects from Europe & the U.S.  Software
  19. is being developed in UNIX and DOS environments.
